Ninja Foodi Loaded Ham and Cheese Fritta
My Ninja Foodi multipot has 14 functions, but I've only ever used the pressure cook and saute settings. So I decided to start exploring its many other functions. My first experiment was this frittata that uses the saute and bake settings. Who knew the Foodi could bake? Well, Ninja did, obviously. And now I know, and so will you!
Special Equipment Needed
- 1 Chef knife
- 1 Cutting board
- 1 Ninja Foodi 14-in-1 8-quart SMART XL Pressure Cooker or other multicooker with a BAKE function
Ingredients
- 12 large eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup white Cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic thinly sliced
- 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
- 8 ounces cooked ham diced
- 5 ounces baby spinach roughly chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes sliced in half
- kosher salt and black pepper
- ½ cup white Cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- Set the Foodi to SEAR/SAUTE on HI. Select START/STOP and let it come to heat for 5 minutes.12 large eggs, ¼ cup milk
- While the pot is heating, add the eggs, milk, and 1 cup of white Cheddar cheese to a large bowl and whisk to combine.1 cup white Cheddar cheese
- Add the butter to the pot and let it melt for about a minute. Add the onion and saute for 3 minutes.3 tablespoons butter, 1 small onion
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.2 cloves garlic
- Add the mushrooms and saute for about 5 minutes.8 ounces mushrooms
- Add the ham and cook for 2 minutes.8 ounces cooked ham
- Add the spinach and saute until just wilted.5 ounces baby spinach
- Add the tomatoes and stir for 2 minutes.1 cup cherry tomatoes
- Pour in the egg mixture and season with salt and pepper.kosher salt and black pepper
- Close the Foodie lid and select BAKE/ROAST, set the temperature to 400F and the time to 15 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin cooking.
- After 5 minutes, open the lid and sprinkle ½ cup of the cheese over the eggs. Close the lid to continue cooking.½ cup white Cheddar cheese
- When cooking is complete, remove the pot from the cooker and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
